The Port St Joe has a population of around 5,600 residents year round, It is the mayberry of Northwest Florida.  The town of Port St Joe is now being developed by a company called the St Joe company, they are building a new 500 slip marina with wet and dry slips. New motel, new residential sites and commercial sites. This new development will really kick start this area. So now is the time to buy since it is a buyers market right now.  The new hospital will breal ground in may of 2007 and to be completed by late 2008. It will be a 25 bed hospital with ER care. Sacred Heart Hospital out of Pensacola will be the provider of this hospital.  So they will be looking for Doctors and health care workers. Port St Joe real estate is now taking a little dip compared to pass years with home prices droping about 20%.  Once the hospital and the development get onboard this will change some.
